We’ve been appointed by Sanctuary Housing Group to deliver a programme of external refurbishment works at Park Farm, Swindon, upgrading key elements of the building fabric while retaining its traditional appearance and architectural details.

Working alongside KWL Architects, the project will focus on the careful replacement and refurbishment of key external elements, including timber sliding sash windows, doors, fascias, soffits and rainwater goods. The works have been carefully designed to replicate the existing architectural details, ensuring the building’s original character and appearance are retained.

Due to commence in mid-August, the ten-week programme requires a sensitive approach, with works carefully planned to protect the building’s existing features while maintaining its original character and detailing, and minimising disruption to residents throughout the refurbishment.

The works will include the installation of new double-glazed timber sliding sash windows, designed to match the existing fenestration and detailing while improving thermal performance and energy efficiency. New timber doors will also be installed to complement the existing appearance, alongside replacement fascias, soffits and traditional cast iron rainwater goods.

Careful attention will be given throughout the project to preserving the character of Park Farm, with materials, profiles and finishes selected to closely match the existing features. The works will also include associated repairs, including localised plaster repairs, leadwork adjustments and refurbishment of the existing timber porch canopy.

The project builds on our experience of working on residential refurbishments where preserving the existing character of a building is important. Working alongside Sanctuary Housing Group and KWL Architects Ltd, we’ll deliver the improvements at Park Farm with the care and attention to detail needed to enhance the property while retaining its original features.
