A major refurbishment programme is set to get underway this summer at St Chad’s CE VC Primary School in Patchway, Bristol, as a £750,000 contract has been secured for a package of internal upgrade works delivered in partnership with Horders Electrical Contractors.

The project forms part of the wider Bridge family of schools and will be delivered during the upcoming school summer holiday shutdown period to minimise disruption to pupils, staff and daily school operations.

The works include a school-wide programme of decorations, lighting upgrades, flooring protection measures and new suspended ceiling installations. In addition, the scheme incorporates structural enabling works to facilitate the installation of a new roller shutter, improving both functionality and security for the building. Careful planning has been central to the project approach, with delivery scheduled around the tightly defined school closure period to ensure works are completed efficiently and the school can reopen as planned for the new term.

Collaboration between the project team and Horders Electrical Contractors will support the coordinated delivery of electrical and associated building works, ensuring technical requirements are met alongside the wider refurbishment programme.

Once complete, the improvements are expected to support a brighter, more resilient and better-functioning learning space for staff and pupils alike.
