We are pleased to announce that a £320,000 refurbishment and improvement project has commenced at The Old Vicarage in Burnham-on-Sea, a significant project set to modernise and enhance the assisted living property for vulnerable adults. The project, managed in collaboration with Kendall Kingscott as contract administrators, will see comprehensive upgrades and renovations both inside and outside the building
The Old Vicarage, which provides crucial support to its residents, will undergo a transformation aimed at improving the quality of life for those who call it home. The property houses four self-contained flats, each of which will benefit from newly upgraded bathrooms. In addition, the communal kitchen, lounge, laundry room, and toilet facilities will be modernised to meet contemporary standards of comfort and functionality.
As part of the refurbishment, the entire property will be painted and decorated throughout, ensuring a fresh and welcoming environment. Fire door installations will also enhance fire safety within the building, alongside essential roofing repairs to maintain the integrity of the property.
Externally, the works will include a new timber fence to provide additional security and privacy for residents. A new patio will be laid, creating a pleasant outdoor space for residents to enjoy. Importantly, all external works will be carried out with care to avoid disturbing a Badger sett located in the garden.
The project will be executed in four carefully planned phases to minimise disruption to the residents, with special consideration ensuring residents' needs are met and that their daily routines are respected while we work.
Following on from our last meeting on-site, it's good to see the changes at the property, especially given the obstacles that we have all had to work through over the past months.
