We have been awarded a new contract by the University of the West of England (UWE) to carry out external refurbishment works at its Glenside Campus, focusing on Blocks B, C, and D - three historic Victorian buildings that are an integral part of Bristol’s heritage.
Originally constructed as part of the Bristol Lunatic Asylum in 1861, these landmark buildings later became Glenside Hospital before being acquired by UWE in 1996. They now form part of the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, housing classrooms, a library, and various study areas used by students and staff alike.
The newly awarded project will focus on the careful restoration and decoration of original timber sash windows across the three blocks. Our in-house team of skilled carpenters and painters will carry out the specialist work, preserving the character of these listed structures while enhancing their longevity and appearance.
The project is scheduled to be completed over a four-week programme, with work carefully planned to minimise disruption to campus life.
