As part of UWE’s ongoing modernisation programme for its student accommodation, we have been appointed to deliver two further modernisation projects for the University of the West of England's Frenchay Campus.

With a combined value of £2 million, the projects will see us complete the refurbishment of Brecon Court II, a six-storey student accommodation block, and UWE’s Quantock block at the Frenchay Campus, helping to modernise student living spaces ahead of the new academic year.

The appointments reflect our long-standing relationship with UWE and will transform more than 200 student flats and communal areas. Works include internal redecoration, new flooring throughout, completion of ongoing bathroom upgrades, and the full refurbishment of 12 communal kitchens to create modern, practical shared spaces for students.

With work already underway, both projects are being delivered together over an eight-week period during this summer break. Careful planning and a phased delivery approach will ensure the works are completed on schedule while minimising disruption across the campus.

As part of the refurbishment, we are installing high-performance Altro Wood adhesive-free flooring within communal living areas. Selected for its durability, acoustic performance and low-maintenance qualities, the flooring is ideally suited to the demands of busy student accommodation. Its long-term performance and contemporary finish will enhance both the appearance and longevity of these shared spaces.
